Paella

Well, here is step by step recipe of how to make delicious “Paella” that I make at home. It is easy to cook. Serve 4 people. Paella is originated in Valencia.

PaelaMain Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 2 cups of Rice
  • 1/2 Red and ½ Green Peppers
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 10 Prawns and 10 clams or mussels
  • Fish (Cod or conger eel) and Chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 6 Green Olives
  • A pinch of Saffron

Method

Firstly, cut both peppers and onion into small pieces and fry them in a large frying pan in the oil. At the same time, boil the pieces of fish, prawns and clams in another saucepan for about fifteen minutes. Keep the water for the rice (to give it more flavour). In another saucepan boil an egg for twelve minutes.

Secondly, add the pieces of fish, chicken and prawns to the large frying pan to fry a little.

Then add the rice with enough water to boil it into the large frying. The amount of water has to be twice the amount of rice. After that, add saffron, which makes the rice yellow.

Finally, when the rice is boiled, decorate with small chunks of egg, clams and olives. Paella is served warm and usually it is the main course. After this you can eat a Spanish dessert which you will be able to see in the following days on the website. Do not miss it!
