In Work Support Service

 A new In-Work Support Service is available for employees who have recently taken on new employment but who may need support to stay in their job. 

 

Funded through the Department of Work and Pensions Flexible Support Fund, this pilot project aims to assist those new employees, by supporting them with any barriers that may prevent them from sustaining their job.

 

The candidates who may be eligible are:

 

  • ESA clients
  • Lone Parents
  • Long-term unemployed (including Work Programme returners)
  • Young people securing their 1st job
  • Individuals who have been in residential care/carers
  • Individuals who have completed a custodial sentence/ ex-offenders
  • Individuals with additional support needs

 

             Each referral will be assessed on an individual basis.

 

This service offers a suite of support options including:

 

  • Mentoring support
  • Job coaching
  • Further job search support
  • ‘Better off’ calculations for underemployed clients still on benefits
  • Access to further training opportunities
  • Modern Apprenticeship options
  • SVQs
  • Mediation between the new member of staff and employer if needed
